I have been a customer of AAA for many years and received outstanding service regarding many products. However, this recent AAA Travel Department experience has been the worst experience I have ever encountered with a travel agency.

AAA Travel was not supportive in making simple adjustments to correct the problem (approximately $25 difference as advertised on the website which I was willing to pay), stated delays were caused by EXPEDIA not getting back to them, stated EXPEDIA or the hotel had my money (over $1500) even though I booked through AAA, continuously stated there was nothing they could do to make the simple adjustment without approval of EXPEDIA which they still had not resolved after waiting more than one week, stated AAA would offer no type of compensation for the inconvenience/delays, and stated it would take approximately 7-10 days for the money to be refunded to my credit card if cancelled. I needed the funds to rebook my hotel since the matter was taking too long to resolve and my trip was now one week away. After many days of awaiting resolution and my trip being only one week away now, I cancelled the reservation and now have to search elsewhere. I received the refund the next day, however, the delay of over one week has resulted in a significant increase in the price of rooms for my travel dates.

I am extremely disappointed in the support/service provided by AAA Travel. After cancelling, there has been no contact stating they were able to resolve the matter or any other offer to exemplify good customer service. It was basically a wait and see/HOPEFULLY this matter can get resolved before your trip, and it's not our fault type of attitude.

If AAA does not want to take responsibility for the information/pricing (which I sent proof) as advertised on their website, then they should not offer the service. Mindy B was the main contact person regarding this matter.

User's recommendation: BEWARE, THEY BOOK THROUGH EXPEDIA.
